Immanuel – God is with Us!

"Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means 'God is with us.'" Matthew 1:23(NLT)

Several times I have started and stopped writing this month’s blog. Deleting paragraphs, searching scriptures, all in pursuit of having something meaningful to say to you at the end of another year.

When writing my blog, I always pray and ask God, what He wants to say to His people through me? I asked again this month, and every time I sat down to write the blog, I heard God say, “just tell them I am with them.” But, of course, that wasn’t going to fill up my blog, so I kept searching for something else to include…a story…lyrics to a song, but nothing seemed right! It’s amazing, that even as I am writing this now, the ease of the words coming into my mind and spirit, let me know…they are God inspired!

Obedience IS better than sacrifice!

So as another year comes to an end and we each reflect on what has passed and anticipate what is to come. God wants me to remind all of us that Jesus is our Immanuel--Our God is with us! And, because He is with us, we win in the end! So no matter what happened yesterday. No matter what circumstances we find ourselves in today. No matter what challenges come tomorrow. We serve a God that is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. At the end of the day or year, as it may be…know this…GOD IS WITH YOU!
